The WELLNESS WARRIOR OUTLOOK

This is kind of long, but I know many with chronic illness struggle to have a quality of life, so I share my journey in hopes of inspiring you.

I am here to tell you that even if your illness cannot be “cured” - it can be managed.

I was diagnosed in 2015 with moderate to severe #gastroparesis, in addition to previous diagnoses of IBS-C, Migraines, Nervous System Dysfunction (Dysautonomia), and Mitochondrial Dysfunction, to name the majority, and more serious of all my issues.

I was on 10+ different western medications and was only getting worse.

My symptoms were not managed; the medications didn’t always work or made me feels sicker. I was constantly in flare ups, nausea, vomiting, losing weight, could hardly eat or drink and was fading.

I was desperate for another way.

I started seeing a naturopathic and functional medicine DR in 2016 and my health slowly, over time began to improve.

We started with one thing and as tolerated, went on to the next. With the goal in mind to heal the body from the inside out.

In addition to getting my stress, anxiety and over-wired nervous system under control through yoga and meditation. Yes I said Yoga and meditation – no I don’t think it will cure you – but it has helped me with learning to naturally manage my nausea, stress, anxiety and depression. So there’s that.

I also wanted to share what I supplement – THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE - and I encourage you to talk to your drs about alternative measures that you can take to manage your symptoms.

We are all different – but we should at the least try to learn from each other.

There is more than one way to manage your health, symptoms, illness and well-being. My only missions is to inspire you to DO SOMETHING!

HERE IS WHAT I CURRENTLY TAKE DAILY…

> Aloe Vera Juice – inflammation, dehydration, antibacterial

> Digestive Enzymes – increase digestive enzymes, digestion, nutrient absorption, immune function, ph balance

> Probiotics/Prebiotics – increase good bacteria in your gut

> Advanced Multivitamin – heavy dose of vitamins/minerals

> Adrenal Cortex/Cortex – support stress management, adrenal function, adrenal health and energy production

> Triphala Herbal Blend – IBS and Gastroparesis, increases motility > Collagen Peptides – improve tissue health

> B Complex – support cellular function, increase energy

> CQ10 with Omega 3– organ function, increases cellular energy, heart and brain health

> Resveracel – feeds body at cellular level, metabolism, energy, fatigue

> L-Carnitine – increase mitochondria health, energy

> Niacell/Niagen – increases mitochondria health, energy, fatigue

> Complete Nutritional Powder – complete liquid nutrition for days and meals I cannot eat real food

> Amino Acid Complex Powder – full spectrum amino acids, cellular health and function

> Magnesium – nausea, dehydration, fatigue, headaches, sleep I think that’s it.

+ a handful of natural herbal tinctures and remedies.

Yes it’s a lot - but the side effects from taking these supplements are far less risky than the side effects and risks from the western meds I was on. Word.

I AM NOT CURED by any means. We know the reality of that. But my health, flare ups and symptoms are better managed and that is a WIN in my book!
