HEALTH HAPPINESS HOME
Health. Happiness. Home. These three pillars form the foundation of my holistic approach to life. In today's fast-paced world, it is essential for us to pause, reflect, and cultivate lasting, nourishing habits that support our well-being.
My vision is to inspire a community of individuals who are committed to eco-conscious living and prioritize their health and happiness in their everyday lives.
I am Josie Wyckoff, the founder of Brighter Rising | Brighter Manner. As a Writer, Mind-Body-Spirit Tamer, and aspiring Healthy and Happy Homemaker and Homesteader, I am on a mission to create a healthier, happier world while embarking on my own journey towards optimal well-being.
Through my work, I aim to educate and empower others on intentional self-care, holistic living, joyful homemaking, sustainable living practices, and the importance of self-healing.
'Cause, it sure feels like we have lost our ways and that it may just be time to stop being so damn distracted and unmotivated.
I fully believe our focus these days should be on building and healing our own Health, Happiness and Homes.
To heal the world, one must go home and heal themselves.
We want healthier habits, intentional living and integrative medicine.
We want less hate and more love.
We want to build sanctuaries, because we can no longer thrive in chaotic spaces.
We want to feel vibrant and carefree, not stressed and burnout.
And YOU is where it all starts...
Read on to see what it really means to create a healthy, happy life and home.
By HEALTHY I do not mean eating perfectly, in matching workout clothes, drinking pink smoothies. Picture perfect health really means, encompassing a mindset that has your own best interest at heart. It means being real with yourself. And loving and forgiving yourself. It means choosing to do things every day that inspire and recharge you, rather than incite and drain you. It means recognizing the activities you are doing that may be not the healthiest for you. Unhealthy patterns of behavior and thoughts, if you will. It means having self-awareness, acceptance and love. It means eating well but balanced. Cake is not your enemy. It means moving your body in a way that feels good to you. Burning yourself out doing activities that stress you out or don't feel good will only lead you back to those unhealthy patterns. It means paying attention to your intuition, thoughts, feelings and learning to regulate your nervous system. If means resting when you need it. Laughing as much as you can. And letting go of unrealistic expectations the world has placed on you, so you can start putting taking care of yourself at the TOP of your to do list.
when I say HAPPY - that doesn't mean, never sad, angry, negative, etc. It means having the space and capacity to work through the stress, emotions, and toxic thoughts you're having without uprising, or responding in a BIG way. It means learning to feel what you're experiencing without having that extreme reaction or shutting down completely. It means having self-awareness and a level of self-acceptance to stay present even when it's hard or it hurts. It means knowing how and when to regulate your body/nervous system through pausing and deep breathing. It means understanding what you're feeling so you can work through it with growth, healing, and understanding, over judgement. It means choosing peace over pain, perfection and suffering over and over again. There is peace to be found when you go within. I am here as a reminder that at any point, you can choose yourself over the mess and chaos of life. You are worthy of self-love. That's where your happiness is found ✌️❤️🙏✨️
HOME. Homemaker. Homeschooler. Homesteader. Homemade. Homebody.
There are so many things that can happen within the walls of home. Whether it’s a big home or a small home, home is truly where the heart is. There are so many people that I see who are embracing the home more and finding their place there. People who may give up big, modern homes for acreage and a little farmhouse. People who are now putting aside their conventional ways to get their hands dirty in the dirt to grow food. And people leaving the traditional school system to return back to the home (an historical surge actually).
While there’s various reasons to see increases in such things, one can assume that many people have realized that we are losing valuable skills, ole’ fashioned morals and Godly values. We want them back.
You see, the modern world often wants us to desire bigger homes, more debt, less yards for less maintenance, conventional food, government run schools instead of parent led, trendy cultural fads and so on. And quite often we see that the world also wants us to push back traditional ways of living, healing and living. But what it seems like is happening is that people realize this isn’t working in many ways. Many people are returning back to the roots of “home.” And many people desire to return back to the good, the true and the beautiful.
Conventional things are awesome at times no doubt, but we see often that simplicity is more. The values and work learned within the home can do so much for not just one person, but future generations too.
I’m a less is more kinda gal and if you’re feeling called to return back to the ole’ fashioned ways of “home,” then I hope you listen to your heart because it sure is a beautiful journey.🤍
In today's society, traditional or more intentional living and wellness have become paramount. Taking charge of your health, happiness and home should be a top priority. I am here to provide you with the tools and resources necessary to embark on this transformative journey.
